The NeuroNEM REU is a 9 week summer program for undergraduate students to work collaboratively on brain dynamics research projects related to neuronal networks underlying epilepsy and memory. The program provides financial support, educational and career advancing opportunities, with hands-on graduate-level laboratory research experience and guidance by dedicated mentoring faculty and research staff at Universities across three states: Louisiana Tech University, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock (UAMS). The program is supported by research funds from the National Science Foundation (NSF OIA/EPSCoR grant #1632891).

REU program dates: May 25 – July 26, 2020
Eligibility requirements
– Undergraduate students from US institutions in EPSCoR states who have at least completed their first year and will not be graduating before the start of the program
– Must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
– Minimum overall GPA 3.25
